What do I know and think about integrating technology in the classroom?
I think integrating technology into the classrooms is a really good idea and extremely helpful. It makes it an easy access to other resources, to include extra examples for material. Also, I think it all the different requirements for different learning styles are met all at once. We are able to watch, listen, and even react with technology making any learning style accessible right from the basic classroom. Technology grows every day and it is important to keep up no matter what generation we come from.It makes learning new material seem easy and enjoyable instead of a chore. Students are more likely to stay focused because there is variety, which to me seems like a good reason to add our everyday technology into learning environments. (:
I think you made a very good point about technology allowing all the learning styles to be met at once; I hadn't thought of that. You also made a good point about technology making learning easier and more enjoyable for students, but I disagree with the idea of students staying focused. Based on previous experiences - with myself and others - I feel it is easier to become distracted unless the student is more interested in the material than any possible distractions.

yeah i can see where you are coming from. i think it is a good to use sometimes,especially when trying to get students involved but i can see where that can be a huge distraction as well.
DeleteI agree that by integrating technology in the classroom allows for teachers to successfully teach to the different types of learning styles. Also, with the technology teachers can allow students to find and learn new things on their own. By doing this it allows students to teach other students, kind of turning the classroom around and not just listening to one way of how to do something but also by having multiple ways of doing things. You made a very good point that technology is changing everyday and that everyone needs to keep up with it, I realized technology is always changing but you made me realize it does change day in and day out.
